Preparing for OUR BIG DAY was exciting from the beginning to the end.  I found the perfect venue by exploring online, and what a great choice was made.  I give credit where it’s due, and Anna Bouchard was very helpful/amazing throughout the process.  The food tasting was great as well, and the chef outdid himself.  We always discuss what a great wedding weekend we spent at Hilton Charlotte University Place.  Our family and friends do so as well. Our wedding day was All that we prayed for and more. The guests also loved the Executive lounge and all that it offered.  The Hilton staff were very friendly, pleasant, and welcoming.  Everyone did their part to ensure I had no issues or worries on our wedding day.  We loved it and will spend our 1st wedding anniversary at the Hilton Charlotte University Place.  Reservations are already booked.

10 out of 10; Anna, I wanted to let you know that you did an amazing job planning our wedding. Anna and the team made us feel at ease during the process. Anna was extremely quick to answer any questions we had. From the beginning of our tasting to the actual day, we knew we would be in great hands. On the day of the event, Anna and the team handled everything so we could focus on getting married. Our bartender, servers, and employees were exceptional. 

Anna handled everything, from getting our menu and seating chart to working with different partners, working with a photographer and DJ to helping our guests. She did an amazing job. If you have a wedding at the Hilton, rest assured that everything will be handled, and they will go above and beyond to make your day awesome.  

I recommend Anna and the Hilton team for your wedding, and we give them a 10 out of 10.

I highly recommend having your wedding at the Hilton University Place: The welcome we received from Anna at the Hilton University Place upon our first meeting was warm and inviting. She walked us through the planning process and provided details of the events for our wedding day. Anna was very responsive and patient from the beginning to the final moment we walked away as a married couple. She made herself available to meet with us and our wedding planner. She always went above and beyond in accommodating our schedules and special requests, such as bringing in outside rentals for the reception, and her team never missed a beat. She was always a few steps ahead of us in her planning, and she provided alternative ideas if she thought they would help. My now husband and I were amazed on the day of our food tasting. The chef was great, the amount of food they provided for tasting was enormous, and the chef welcomed our fantastic ideas.  

Just a few days before our wedding, Anna helped arrange breakfast for the wedding party on our wedding day, which gave our family and friends the needed flexibility over a few hours to enjoy breakfast. Everyone, including us, enjoyed the food and service.  Although it rained on our wedding day, the backup plan was implemented when I decided to move the ceremony from outside on the water to inside. The Hilton University Place staff moved the chairs that were already set up outside in no time, and the ceremony proceeded without a hitch. It was great having Anna there throughout the whole evening. Her staff were fantastic, the service was superb, and our guests raved about the food. We are happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Hilton University Place. We can not say enough about the service, quality, and dedication provided throughout the process.  I highly recommend having your wedding at the Hilton University Place! The wedding specialist Anna is phenomenal!!

We used the Hilton Charlotte University Place for a pre-wedding Rehearsal Dinner for 28 guests in the Glenwaters Room. This room can hold a lot more people, but the way it was set up for our dinner buffet made perfect sense. Everything was set up at a comfortable distance so that we didn't feel crowded, nor did we feel the room size was too large. Amanda, our Event Planner, was wonderful to work with, and she can a "Can Do" attitude. Everything was set to our specifications and requests. The buffet staff efficiently removed empty plates off the guest tables. Kevin, our bartender, was especially good with the kids and even made them Shirley Temples. The Glenwater room is an irregular rather than boxy shape, which gives it more architectural interest. It also has a glass wall of windows that look out onto the manmade lake and fountain. Reserving a private banquet room at the Hilton made more sense than trying to get seating for 28 people at a restaurant. Instead, we had an intimate dining experience, just for our group. We were able to have a welcome introduction and prayer, and conversation from table to table without feeling rushed. They also piped in their "house sound" background music for us. The buffet food offerings were delicious. I especially recommend the green beans with toasted pecans, bacon, & carmelized onions (I love my veggies). The triple chocolate cake was the best chocolate cake that I have ever tasted. I have no hesitation in recommending the Hilton Charlotte University Place for your private party or event.
